Welcome to the seventh episode of our second season! We’re going the opposite direction to our episode “Moon”.

Shar starts us off with an accidental guilty pleasure confession (it’s a TV show, before we let imaginations run too wild) but that paled in comparison to the fad she then verbally dissected. Perinium sunning, the polite name for the fad we discussed gained momentum like any old turd running down a hill. This segment includes such choice phrases as, “butts to the sky”, “legs in a v-shape”, “backyard in full view”, “antagonise the tissue” and more! The only question we have for you is, “Would you?”

Ragini chipped in with her own fact about another sun-related, ridiculous fad – sun gazing. Right, it’s as silly as it sounds. But right down our weirdo alley here at BRF! We had to split paths with the greatest proponent of sun gazing in India when there was a 411-day fast mentioned. In short, no thank you.

From the fully ridiculous to the super-scientific! Shar then gurgled about the James Webb Telescope and its phenomenal sun shield. The James Webb telescope is the younger, shinier, newer Hubble telescope – without being disrespectful to its ground-breaking predecessor. There is a tonne of info in there about the sun-shield or the “cape” as Shar likes to ludicrously call it. We go into everything – its size, its material, its longevity and how it was deployed! To keep Shar’s tears at bay (listen to the episode, really) Ragini launched into the very real story of how North Korea sent a man to the Sun! Not just that, they appeared to have done this in a 21-hour round trip. But, did they? OR was it all an Irish media hoax! Or was it real? Okay, we’ll stop. Listen to the episode.

Shar rounded off the episode with an unlikely story about Archimedes we’ve already heard – razing to the waves an entire fleet of ships and busted this myth like a Greek goddess! Too much? Okay, we’ll stop.
